Golden Scholars Puppy Training

Puppies possess an innate ability to learn around the clock, capable of achieving remarkable feats when provided with a learning environment tailored to their rapidly developing brains. With the right approach, their potential knows no bounds.

During their four-week comprehensive training program at SW Retrievers, our Golden Scholar Puppies will be immersed in a variety of protocols and exercises, including:

• Basic Obedience: Sit, Down, Stand, and Recall using Verbal/Hand Signals. Intro to Leash Manners
• Advanced Obedience: Leash Manners, Settle, Advanced Recall, and Door Manners. 
• Advanced Crate Training
• Intro to Tricks: Spin, Touch, Find It, Push Ups, Tunnel, and More
• Manding (Automatic Sit)
• Intro to Water
• Intro to Swimming
• Basic Socialization
• Advanced Socialization
• Intro to Food Manners
• Daily Handling
• Problem Solving Exercises
• Confidence Building Exercises
• Resource Guarding Exercises
• Sound Habituation
• Intro to Car Rides
• Intro to Fruits & Veggies
• Basic Balance Exercises
• Stair Exposure
• Intro to Scent Games
• Intro to Grooming
• Nail Trim Exposure
• Daily Novel Toy Exposure or Experience

Every puppy enrolled in our Golden Scholar training program will be ready to go home at 12 weeks old and cost $3,500. Our Golden Scholars will be able to earn their AKC Virtual Home Manners Puppy title when they're ready to go home!

We provide a positive, reinforcement-based program that avoids corrections and outdated dominance theories. By closely observing each puppy and tailoring their learning experiences to suit their individual needs, we can help unlock their potential and nurture them into confident, enrichment-seeking companions in a remarkably short period. Working at their level of understanding ensures our puppies excel psychologically, physically, cognitively, and emotionally, typically surpassing other puppies of the same age. Our unique approach, personalized to match the distinct personality of each puppy, enables us to achieve some pretty incredible things with such young puppies.

Puppy Selection Process:

1. If approved, you will receive an email letting you know what spot is available on our Waitlist. To lock in your spot on the Waitlist you will be required to pay a $300 non-refundable holding fee. This amount goes towards the total purchase price of your puppy.

2. You will be added to our Official Golden Scholar Waitlist.

3. Be sure to Like & Follow us on Facebook at SW Retrievers to keep up to date with everything going on. 

4. Once the puppies are 10 weeks old you will be invited to our home to meet the litter and pick out your puppy based upon your order in the Waitlist. If you're unable to visit in person, we offer video chats. 
You will be required to pay a $1500 non-refunable payment towards your balance.

5. The remaining balance is due upon pick up after your puppy turns 12 weeks old.
