Introduction to Car Rides

We don't want the first time our puppies go for a car ride to be their first visit to the vet where they will receive their vaccinations, so we make sure they get at least two exposures to riding in a car before their first vet visit.

Some puppies have no problem riding in the car from the very first time they go inside, but others need more exposure. If we have to start off with only sitting in a parked car, that's what we'll do to make sure we're meeting each puppy at their comfort level. We will increase the length of our drives over time to help the puppy become more confident.
